Illness and COVID Update
Over the last couple of weeks, we have seen an increase in the number of children and family members who have been ill. COVID appears to have reared its head again and we have been made aware of a few positive cases. Please be aware that the guidance for schools around COVID is as follows:
If your child has a temperature or is feeling unwell - stay off school
If your child has tested positive for COVID and has a temperature and is feeling unwell - stay off school
If your child has had a positive COVID test result but is feeling well-enough to return to school and does not have a temperature - return to school
We are advised to now treat COVID like any other respiratory infection.
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as COVID-19, and you have a high temperature or you do not feel well enough to go to work or carry out normal activities, you are advised to try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people. Symptoms of COVID-19, flu and common respiratory infections include: continuous cough high temperature, fever or chills loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell shortness of breath unexplained tiredness, lack of energy muscle aches or pains that are not due to exercise
